Chakra 1- Root Chakra ( Muladhara)
Location - Base of spine
Color- Red
Mantra- Lam
Crystals to balance- Hemetite, red jasper, bloodstone, carnelian, smoky quartz, Tigers eye.
Associated with security, safety, survival, dependability, and reliable. Feel grounded and have a sense of belonging.
When out of balance, you may experience:
Fatigue, difficulty sleeping, poor immunity, and bowel issues. Emotional issues that may be experienced is feeling unsafe, unstable, anxious, depression, lack of motivation, feeling ungrounded or negative.
Affirmations: I am safe ( secure)
- I am at peace with the present moment
- I am grounded in the present moment
- I trust in the abundance of the universe to provide for my needs
-I release tension & resistance in my body & mind
- I am safe & I trust the process of life
Yoga poses to balance root chakra:
- Savasana/ Childs pose/ Tadasana( mountain)/ Virabhadrasana 1 ( warrior 1) / Vrksasana ( tree)
Take the next full week to balance or maintain the balance of your root
chakra. Everyday or whatever you feel is attainable to you try to do something to help balance this chakra.
Examples:
1- Do 5-10 minutes ( minimum) of a yoga poses related to the root chakra. While doing this focus on grounding, breathing and maybe an affirmations or the color red.
2- Sit & meditate.
You can sit quietly and focus on an affirmation or the color red. Visualize red at the base of spine or however you prefer to visualize.
Find a guided meditation ( youtube) that resonates with you.
Chanting Lam in meditation.
3- Find times during the day that you can utilize affirmations or visualization where it can become a habit/ practice.
