Don’t be fooled by all that empty space in the M**F mobile…. we are FAR from done packing.

BABY. NUMBER. FIVE.

You’d think by now I’d be used to this.

I should know what to do with all these feels.
I should know how to manage this part.
I should have some kind of veteran-mom coping strategy by now.

I. Do. Not. 😩

This season of parenting is WILD.

There’s so much pride in watching your kids build lives of their own… and then all these feels that comes with realizing that the life you built with them under your roof is changing too.

Clearly experience has taught me NOTHING!

Anyone else sending their babies off??? How is this happening when we are all still 27?!?!?! 😩

Meet your comedian for A Conversation Between Us!!

Keh Dee brings sharp wit, fearless charm, a ukulele, and real-deal storytelling that hooks audiences from her very first joke. In her first year of stand-up, she was already sharing the stage with legends like SNL’s Tim Meadows and Sabrina the Teenage Witch’s Caroline Rhea. Recently, she’s emceed for LA’s Brittany Schmitt and NYC’s Caitlin Peluffo. It’s no surprise she was named the Niagara Comedy Awards 2024 Rookie of the Year and 2025 Joke of the Year winner.

Performing all across Ontario, you never know where Keh Dee will pop up next… just know the laughs are coming.

And for A Conversation Between Us, Keh Dee is bringing a little of her own story to the stage too, because sometimes the best way to talk about the real, messy, relatable parts of relationships and midlife is to laugh about them together. And really… what better place to do that than a night like this?

Follow her on Instagram .dee to find out where she’ll pop up next!

Thank you, Keh Dee for being part of this conversation.

Apparently Eventbrite and I are BOTH in perimenopause. 😂

A little brain fog.
A little confusion.
Neither of us communicating particularly well.

But we’re figuring it out. 😂

Just to clarify:

🎟️ 1 ticket = $40
🎟️ 2 tickets = $75

It is NOT a 2-for-1 deal… that’s just how Eventbrite is displaying the two-ticket option so we can keep track of how many people are actually attending.

Sorry for the confusion! ❤️

At this point, we’re just meeting ourselves, and Eventbrite, with humour and grace. 😂

I’m so happy to introduce Kristy Johnson, our Premier Community Partner for A Conversation Between Us. ❤️

Kristy is a proud Niagara-area real estate agent who grew up in Fort Erie and has a deep connection to the community and the people who call it home.

For Kristy, real estate is about more than a transaction. She believes in listening to her clients, understanding what matters most to them, and providing honest guidance and support through one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

Outside of real estate, Kristy is a devoted wife and proud mom to two sons. She loves watching her boys pursue their passion in sports & music, enjoying family game nights and making the most of the outdoors. At 44, she also understands personally how hormonal changes can impact daily life, emotions, confidence and relationships.

That connection is a big part of why this event means something to her.

Kristy believes in the importance of creating a safe and welcoming space where women can openly share what they’re experiencing without judgment, while also giving couples the opportunity to better understand the challenges of the menopause transition, learn how to support one another and navigate this stage together.

In Kristy’s words, she is honoured to be part of an event that “empowers women, encourages understanding, and brings couples and the community together.”

Kristy, thank you for believing in this event and for your generous support in helping bring A Conversation Between Us to life. ❤️

He means well……… 🫠

Yes… women have testosterone too.

And no, testosterone isn’t just a “male hormone.”

Women naturally produce testosterone, and while we have much lower levels than men, it still plays a role in things like libido, muscle and bone health, energy and overall well-being.

As we move through perimenopause and menopause, testosterone levels can be lower, and some women may notice changes like:

• lower libido
• less energy or motivation
• loss of muscle & strength
• achy muscles & joints
• just not quite feeling like themselves

This doesn’t mean testosterone is the answer for everyone. Perimenopause has a LOT of moving pieces, and understanding what’s happening in YOUR body is where the conversation starts.

Because if WE weren’t taught this stuff, how can we expect our partners to understand it?

And THAT is exactly why we created A Conversation Between Us.

A night for women AND the people who love them to learn, laugh, ask questions and better understand what can actually be changing during perimenopause.

We heard y’all were tired of all the AI flyers…

So here. We drew you one. 😂

And while we’re shaking things up…

What The Gut - Women’s Wellness is teaming up with Falls BarberShop

Yep. Women’s wellness & the barber shop.

Perimenopause can change a LOT…. for the person going through it, the person beside them, and the relationship they’re navigating together.

Women are trying to figure out, “What the hell is happening to me?”

And the people who love them are sometimes wondering, “What the hell is happening over there?” 😂

The women are talking.
The men are talking.
We’re just not always talking to each other.

So we figured… let’s put everybody in the same room.

A night out with purpose. ❤️

A DJ. A comedian. Light bites. Drinks. Music. Laughs. A panel discussion with a doctor, therapist and functional medicine practitioner to help us unpack perimenopause, relationships and some of the conversations we probably should’ve been having years ago.

And nope, you don’t need to come as a couple.

Bring your partner. Bring your bestie. Bring whoever you want… or come on your own.

I’m documenting this because I think we need more real conversations about HRT.

Not just the success stories. Not just the scary stories. The in-between too.

The starting slowly.
The adjustments.
The “is this a side effect or is it these kids?!?!? 🙄
The questions.
And hopefully, the progress.

For a long time, so much of what we heard about HRT was rooted in fear. I want to bring some education, curiosity and real-life experience into that conversation.

This is my HRT journey, not advice or a roadmap for anyone else.

I’ve spent a lot of time learning how to support my body through perimenopause.

Understanding my menopause type changed SO much for me. It gave me direction. It helped me make changes that were actually working.

But working doesn’t always mean everything is fixed.

I was still struggling.

And when I was initially told my bloodwork was “normal,” I could have stopped there.

But I knew enough about my body to keep asking questions.

And I’m really glad I did.

Now I’m adding HRT as another tool in my toolbox, and I want to document what that actually looks like… the good, the struggles, the adjustments and the WTF moments. 😂

Not because HRT is the answer for every woman.

And not because everything I was doing before suddenly doesn’t matter.

Quite the opposite.

For me, this is about looking at the WHOLE picture and giving my body the support it needs in this season.

I’m not trying to get back to who I was before perimenopause.

I’m learning how to meet this version of myself with confidence. ❤️

I thought pelvic health was mostly about leaking.

I had no idea how much more there was to understand.

Constipation. Discomfort during intimacy. Lower back pain. Urgency. Things I never even connected to my pelvic floor.

Since starting my pelvic health journey, the difference has shown up in so many parts of my life.

Long road trips and travelling without needing to know where a bathroom is. Teaching Socacize without running to the bathroom right before class and getting home without immediately rushing to one.

These might sound like little things, but when you’ve spent years planning parts of your life around your bladder, they’re really big things.

For me, internal pelvic floor therapy and Emsella have both been part of understanding what my body needed.

Today I was back at LiveWell Niagara for my three-month Emsella maintenance appointment, and one of the biggest things I’ve gained through all of this is more control over my life again.

My biggest takeaway? Get curious about YOUR pelvic health. Get educated. Ask questions. Find out what YOUR body needs.

Just because something is common doesn’t mean we have to normalize living with it.

used to think progesterone was just a “period hormone.”

Turns out, she was doing A LOT behind the scenes.

Progesterone is often called our “chill hormone” because of its connection to the brain, mood and sleep.

Progesterone is usually one of the first hormones to start declining in perimenopause… often before we even realize we’re in it.

So the insomnia, irritability, anxiety, feeling overstimulated and the sudden “WHY IS EVERYONE SO LOUD?!” energy?

There can be more happening underneath it than simply “being moody.”

Understanding what our hormones are doing doesn’t give us permission to lose our s**t 🫠🫣 but it DOES give us context for why we may suddenly feel so different.

This is exactly why we need to be having these conversations together.

If you’ve ever wished your partner understood a little more about what’s happening or you’re the partner wondering “What the hell is happening?” 🫠 A Conversation Between Us is for you.

Come for the laughs and the conversation.
Leave with a little with understanding ❤️
