It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved family member, Courtnall Flett.
Courtnall was a valued part of our hockey community from the beginning—serving as a referee in the early years of our tournament and proudly representing the Shoal Lake Bruins and the Crazy Horses hockey teams. He was known for his incredible athleticism, dedication, and willingness to step up whenever needed.
His presence will be profoundly missed—not only on the ice, but also on the volleyball courts and ball diamonds where he shared his passion for sports and teamwork.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, teammates, and the communities of Shoal Lake and Red Earth. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

On behalf of our committee, made up of the Cook family, we send our heartfelt condolences to our relative, Milton Whitecap. He was a referee for the first two years of our hockey tournament. He is also the father of Marshall and Marlos Whitecap, who play for the Red Earth 29’ers. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Congratulations to the new Swampy Cree Hockey Tournament Champions, with a record of 4-0, the Deschambault Lake Eagles! Falling short with one goal for second are the James Smith Scouts. Making their debut with a third place finish are the Opaskwayak Cree Nation Winterhawks.
Our individual award recipients are:
