Another Wednesday wrapped up and we changed up the format for women’s and men’s golf a little today. We played a 3 or 4 person scramble. Half the teams were designated A and half were designated B. After the round, scores were added together from each group to make one total team score.

For the women’s golf this morning, Team B won. Congrats to Lisa, Eneri, Sue, Louise, Seanna, and Rhonda. Congratulations also to Joyce, who had a great round and won both Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive competitions. Thanks to Bryte Renovation for their weekly sponsorship for our women’s league.

For men’s night tonight, we had 46 golfers. Team A took the win but only 12 strokes difference between the two teams of 23 golfers. Those were some close scores.

And that’s a wrap on another awesome golf day in September. The sky cleared just in time for a golden hour maternity shoot here at Monck’s this evening. Mom & dad-to-be got married here a couple years ago so they were excited to come back for some beautiful photos to document this next happy chapter in their lives. Congratulations Sabrina & Dean! Can’t wait to see your photos and hopefully you will bring the baby back for family photos next time.

Another beautiful day for golf! Kicked off this Saturday with a group from Wessell Trailer Park for their annual golf outing. They got rained out earlier in the season but lucked out with perfect weather today. Thanks for coming out!

We love September golf! Fresh cool morning air quickly warms up for a beautiful fall round of golf. This morning, we were excited to welcome Boshkung Brewing Co back for their 2nd Annual Golf Tournament. This event fills up as soon as a date is selected, with basically no advertising needed. That’s how great this tournament is. Today, 74 golfers enjoyed 9 holes of golf, including 6 competition holes and a chance to win free beer for a year, compliments of Boshkung. Following their round, a delicious lunch was provided by our favourite caterer, Alison Dunbar-Bowins. They are looking to double up the tournament next year, with both morning and afternoon shotgun starts so be sure to watch for it next season. Thank you to Mathew Renda, Deborah Banks, Erik Treble, and the rest of the Boshkung crew for making this tournament a huge success again. And of course, thanks to our staff (Tom Avery, Robert Smales, Logan Surgeoner, Jorja Keeler, Kim Hodgkinson) for all they did to make sure we were offering an awesome day of golf. We definitely have a great team!

Well, men’s night last night ended rather abruptly with a sudden downpour of rain that soaked everyone. Just 20 men tempted fate with the weather but unfortunately they lost. Thanks to those who did come out, as it was Jorja Keeler’s last men’s night for this season. Today is her first day back to university, but you’ll be able to still say hello to her in the pro shop on weekends in the fall.
