Franco Cite will host the annual Lady Pats Invitational Basketball tournament this weekend. Teams from around the province will compete in the tournament. Games will be played at Franco Cite High school and Northern/ESPNO throughout Friday and Saturday, with a champion crowned Saturday evening. The event is free to attend. Semifinal Games begin Saturday at 1:30 at both schools for both Junior and Senior play. Results from the tournament will be posted on Monday on this site.

West Ferris Trojans upset the Algonquin Barons in NDA Junior Football action at Omischl Field on Thursday. Final score 26-18. Algonquin meets Scollard next Thursday, and West Ferris plays Scollard on the 27th to cap off the regular season.
