Whose ready for an awesome story from the weekend. This skate belongs to Nika.
Right before her final game Saturday she called her dad and asked him to tape her broken skate praying it would hold out. Her skate had other plans and close to the end of the game her teams statistician came running down stairs "DOES ANYONE HAVE A 5 1/2 SKATE?" Immediately coaches of players who just got off the ice ran into the change rooms not even knowing who needed a skate. Thankfully someone on had a skate that would fit!
This is what our sport is! Doing anything we possibly can to help another player, better yet helping a stranger in need!
Stories like this forever make me grateful I'm a proud Ringette player, coach, ref and volunteer!
