The Vancouver Iranian Choir is welcoming new members.

Join a collaborative choral program with professional instruction in vocal training, sight-singing, music reading, and Western classical vocal techniques.

Open to all experience levels.

🌍 Our choir is open to everyone, regardless of nationality or cultural background.
English-language instruction is offered every Wednesday from 8:00–9:00 PM, making the program accessible to members from all communities.

Character Design with Ahmad Rafiei

Character Designer
Stylized Animation • IP-based Projects • Disney & Warner Bros. IP Experience

This course is designed for students and artists who are interested in the animation industry and want to learn how characters are developed for storytelling, feature animation, games, and IP-based entertainment projects.

In this 12-session in-person course, students will choose a story idea and develop a full set of characters for it, including a protagonist, antagonist, and supporting character.

The course covers shape language, silhouette, gesture, mood, expressions, acting, exaggeration, storytelling moments, lineup design, and final portfolio presentation.

By the end of the course, students will have a complete character design package suitable for portfolio review.

As a special opportunity, the strongest selected design may be developed by Kouman Entertainment into a physical product such as a sticker, postcard, or other merchandise item. This gives students the chance to see how their character design can move beyond the sketch stage and become a real product presented and offered through Kouman Entertainment .

✏️ Requirements:

This is a digital character design course.
Students must bring either:

iPad with Apple Pencil
or
Laptop with Drawing Tablet / Digital Pen

Recommended software:
Procreate, Photoshop

Note: Feedback and draw-over corrections will be done digitally during class.

Nonavazan Ensemble ( Vancouver Iranian Ensemble)

A heartfelt thank you to all our musicians, their families, friends, and the audience who supported this program.

Noonavazan is one of the largest active Iranian instrumental ensembles, bringing together youth and adults. Built on commitment and long-term weekly rehearsals under the direction of Amir Eslami, it creates a space where musicians from diverse backgrounds come together to give their best, express themselves through their instruments, and perform for their community.

Special thanks to Hamed Afshari for his presence, mentorship, and support throughout this concert.
And to our Guest Musicians Saba Jamali, Shahin Pourghiasian, and Amin Rezakhaani for joining us and contributing to this performance.
