RadixFitMama is here! Welcome to fun, food, and fit life with 3 boys!
My name is Rachael, and I have been coaching fitness & nutrition for over 15 years. I am so excited to finally share more with you than ever before! More food & recipes but also the WHY behind the way we eat, and HOW you can integrate healthy living into your busy schedule.
I am here to encourage you through all seasons of life, especially pregnancy and postpartum, because I know how confusing it can be to try to figure out what you can and shouldn't do for workouts, how much to eat, and how to best care for your body and your baby.
I'd love to hear from you about what you're struggling with or want to learn about! I will also share some behind-the-scenes of this wild ride!!
Whether you're working out with my husband and the team or from home, a novice cook or a pro, I'm looking forward to helping you live your best healthy life 💕
We got this, Mama!

Did you know that core exercises can cause women to feel like they need to p*e!?
There's a couple things to keep in mind while exercising that can help with the urge to go....
1. Keep on breathing. Breath holding pushes down on pelvic floor, which is supporting the bladder, so in turn is pushing on the bladder (much like when pregnant). Learning to use your breath to help you engage your core can help alleviate that pressure and in turn help control that urge to p*e.
2. Bracing rather than gently pulling in. When doing core exercises that are too hard, the gentle TVA & PF activation can’t withhold or there is a ‘clench’ to activate the deep core – then bracing happens which can cause a pushing down and out on the deep core and pelvic floor. Learning how to engage and "zip up" your core can help strengthen your pelvic floor and deep core muscles rather then bracing and pushing out causing intra-abdominal pressure that can weaken rather than strengthen.
Join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30am as we work on making that connection with our bodies and build on these foundational exercises for you core.
It is NEVER too late to strengthen our muscles!
