Victoria “Coach Vic” Smith is an accomplished Canadian synchronized skating coach and choreographer, currently coaching with NEXXICE Synchronized Skating Teams and Trinity Skating Academy in Ontario, Canada. She also serves as the Assistant Director of .

Vic’s coaching philosophy emphasizes the integration of artistic expression with technical precision. Drawing from her extensive performance background, including her tenure as a professional skater with various international productions, she brings a unique perspective to her coaching. Her approach focuses on developing skaters’ individual artistry while fostering a cohesive team dynamic, aiming to create performances that resonate with both skaters and audiences.

As a 2015 ISU World Synchronized Skating Champion, Vic understands the dedication and discipline required to excel at the highest levels. She instills these values in her athletes, encouraging them to pursue excellence while nurturing their passion for the sport. Her warm personality and exceptional knowledge have made her a valuable asset in promoting synchronized skating globally.

At NAASSC, Vic’s role as Assistant Director allows her to extend her coaching philosophy to the adult synchronized skating community. She is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where adult skaters can enhance their skills, embrace their creativity, and build lasting connections within the synchro community.

2023 Canada Cup Champions 🏆

Coaching you had been such a privilege, NEXXICE Intermediate. The work never stopped, and you were up against some of the fiercest competition I’ve ever seen in this category. This is a feeling I’ll never forget. ❤️

To my wonderful friend and coaching partner, Elly: thank you for saving me a spot beside you. I’m so grateful for this opportunity. I don’t think either of us could’ve predicted this a decade ago, but I’m so excited to see where we’ll be a decade from now. 🎉

To our assistant, Taylor : we’re so lucky to have your blades on the ice, leading by example. I don’t know how you keep enough gas in the tank to skate senior and coach with such great quality, but my hat goes off to you! Hugs (even though you hate them) 🫂
