Many people have said they will continue to workout from home even when gyms open on Fridayโฃ

Home workouts are great because it keeps fitness very accessible! โฃ

Time is the # 1 barrier to creating and sticking to healthy habits
Time can be seen as a roadblock against many healthy behaviours, including exercise, proper food intake and stress management (an important factor in health)
Balancing work, family, social life, healthy eating and exercise can be a challenge for most people
While I can tell you to prioritize xyz
It is more helpful to assess exactly how your time is spent and determine the amount of time you can realistically commit to when setting attainable goals and managing your expectations for results
When someone is new to exercise finding time to participate in a regular basis is a tough challenge, especially if that means limiting it elsewhere.
One way to overcome the perceived barrier of a lack of time is to address your approach to time management
Some ways to reclaim time for a new activity can include rearranging your schedule so that exercise becomes more of a priority, like committing to exercise as the first activity in the morning when there are no distractions
๐๐ปIdentify areas of your life where there is no room for adjustment and then design a plan/program that maximizes your real ability to commit

Whenever you are unsure of your specific barriers, keep a log of how your time is spent over a week.
This will help identify your average sleep patterns, time dedicated to working, childcare, meal preparation, exercise, watching tv, reading, scrolling social media, etc.
By seeing a snapshot of your week laid out in front of you, it becomes easier to identify areas of improvement for time management so that priorities like exercise are always fit into the schedule.

Why you never see me use before and after pictures of my clients (or talk about weight loss success... really ever)
Because you are more than a number on a scale
Because your appearance does not determine your value
Because I want to see more women set goals based on what their bodies are capable of, not how small they can be
Because they promote comparison and can create a negative self-image
Because smaller does not mean healthier
And because I want every womanโs fitness journey to be about so much more than size or weight.
Here are health goals that have nothing to do with size or weight.

๐ช๐ปLearn how to do a pistol squat
๐ช๐ปGet your first pull up
๐ช๐ปGet your first push-up
๐ช๐ปRun 5k
๐ช๐ปHit a new PR
๐ช๐ปMove your body everyday
๐ช๐ปLearn how to do a handstand
๐ช๐ปBe able to do the splits
๐ช๐ปDrink 2L of water a day
๐ช๐ปGet 7+ hours of sleep every night
๐ช๐ปImprove your run time
And here are some non-scale victories worth celebrating
๐You can do more of things you love
๐You feel more confident in your clothes
๐You have more energy
๐You are sleeping better
๐You are eating majority healthy whole foods
๐You can move pain free
All Iโm saying is that your worth is not measured by your appearance or your size.
The scale isnโt the only way to measure progress or success.
And when you focus on what you are capable of and celebrate your progress youโre more likely to stay motivated.

It's dedicated time to think about the past week, reflect on what went well and what didn't, and build momentum for the week ahead.
It's a chance to get aligned with your goals, keep you accountable and ensure that the work you're doing on a daily basis is helping you reach them.

The core of it should focus on what you worked on, what you accomplished, how you spend your time, what you plan to accomplish, what went well and what didnโt go well.

Who knew how much change one year could bring...
Rewind to this time last year, I donโt think any of us could see how much 2020 was going to effect the way we do almost everything.
Regardless of what lessons you leant from this, thereโs one thing we can all take with us...
That massive change is possible.
Stop and reflect on that for a moment.
One powerful mindset shift, a new strategy or a plan can change everything!
But before any of that can happen, you have to decide itโs possible.
Now itโs time to stop putting things off till tomorrow and start taking the steps to create a lifestyle that ignites a fire in you ๐ฅ
