​If you have a love/hate relationship with backbends, here is why we keep showing up for them on the mat. It’s not just about flexibility; it’s a full system reset:
​⚡️ Nature’s Caffeine: Backbends stimulate the nervous system and increase blood flow. Feeling the 3 PM slump? Skip the espresso and try a Camel pose.
​📱 ** The Anti-Slouch:** Most of our day is spent rounding forward (driving, typing, scrolling). Backbends reverse "text neck" and open up tight hip flexors caused by sitting.
​🫁 Deep Breathing: By expanding the ribcage, you create more space for your lungs to fully inflate. More oxygen = more mental clarity.
​🧠 Mood Booster: Physically opening the chest is linked to confidence and emotional release. It is hard to feel closed off when your heart is wide open.

Four days of a high-intensity Lagree training and my body is officially protesting! 😩 My muscles are screaming, my brain feels foggy, and my nerves are super sensitive. Definitely feeling like a zombie.
Time to lean into some much-needed restorative yoga! A few gentle poses and I'm slowly but surely feeling human again. 🙏
