Cascades Athletes had an absolutely amazing weekend at Quebec provincial long distance championships! We had more than a dozen athletes participating in one of the events that everyone looks most forward to in our race calendar! Here’s just a few of the photos of our team with more to come! A huge shout out and thank you to our head coach Karen Lukanovich who was going nonstop all day, making sure everyone of our athletes was ready for a challenging, long distance, course in wind and at some point choppy water😅🙌❤️

Olympic Hopes update - In a chaotic U16 C1 5000m race and in a stunning upset Eli is coming home with a bronze 🥉 medal!! Eli also just missed the B final in his 500m C1 but with a time of 2:06 he shaved 4” off his PB!! Congrats Eli!! The future is bright!! 🌟

As National Coaches Week wraps up, we wanted to post a huge THANK YOU to our very own AWESOME Head Coach at Cascades, Karen Lukanovich 💖 !!!
Your knowledge, passion, and guidance are creating present and future champions….and most importantly- mentoring our young athletes to embrace challenge, and love the outdoors for the rest of their lives - whether they continue as athletes or not! You rock!!!

SOPHIA JENSEN IS BACK ON THE PODIUM! 🙌🏆

Sophia has claimed silver in the Women’s C1 200m at the 2026 ICF Canoe Sprint & Paracanoe World Championships in Poznań!

That makes medal number TWO for Sophia at these Worlds, adding silver to the gold she already captured earlier in the competition! 🥇🥈
