We offer instruction for diving and snorkelling from beginner to professional. Adventure Divers is locally owned and operated since 1998. We are a full service Scuba Diving and Snorkeling center. We offer courses all year round in our private indoor training facility. We offer equipment sales and service, air and nitrox fills, rental gear and Dive travel services through our own travel agency Adventure Travel TICO # 50017420.

Dear Dive Community it makes me very sad to announce that after 30 years of diving our favourite local dive site Burleigh Falls on Stoney Lake, it is now closed to the public indefinitely.
I can't begin to express our frustration over this decision. Local divers and community members are not responsible for this mess however we now suffer the consequences. 😢

Sometime between August 6 and the 29th this year 2026 cement barriers have been installed and "Private Property No Trespassing" signs from the Government of Ontario have been installed. There are NO Parking Signs everywhere on Old Burleigh Road.

Congratulations to Michelle and Malcolm who are officially Certified Open Water Divers. They completed their check out dives this past weekend with Instructor Humberto and Divemaster Rob. Eric joined in on the 4th dive. Water conditions were fairly good on the Otonabee with some current - lots of fish though, Pigeon Lake was calm with low visibility. As you can see in the underwater pictures. Again if you can learn to dive here you can dive anywhere. Well done.

Last week we camped and did diving on the St. Lawrence River both at Ivy Lea Campground and in Brockville. Thank you to everyone who joined us, even our three (3)granddaughters and daughter-in-law made it up for a visit, which was wonderful. It was a bit of a damp experience but camping in the rain is just part of the whole adventure. We shared a great pot luck together and we celebrated some milestones for some of our divers.

Congratulation to Eric Merchant and Liane Whittaker who completed their Open Water Evaluation dives and are now fully certified.

Congratulations to Rick Avery who completed his 100th dive at 100 feet- so awesome.

Congratulations to Robin Hanwell who completed his Deep Diver Specialty to 120 feet. All in preparation for diving the Blue Hole in Belize with us.
And to Scott and Emma who started their Advanced Open Water Training.
Well done everyone. Thank you to Instructor Humberto and Dive Master Rob for keeping everyone safe and organized.

This past weekend Adventure Divers held an SDI Rescue Diver Course. This course is designed for any certified diver who wants to learn how to prevent, and if necessary, manage dive emergencies. The course broadens a diver's awareness and improves their skills and confidence.
Congratulations to Sandy and Karen. They successfully completed numerous tasks including rescuing an unconscious diver on surface and underwater, performing CPR, practising lifts out of the water and doing search and recovery skills in water conditions with only two (2) feet visibility. Well done ladies, you should be very proud of this certification. Here are a few pictures from the pool session with Instructor Humberto and Divemaster Dave who volunteered to be rescued - numerous times. :)

On Sunday Adventure Divers held a CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen Provider Specialty Courses. These courses give divers the practical skills to assess a situation, take control, and provide care until help arrives. The material that students learn in these courses helps them become a more capable, confident diver and leader.
Congratulations to Karen, Sandy, Laurel, Rob and Dave who certified or re-certified in both specialties. Up next... Rescue Diver.

The girls did great yesterday lead by Humberto and Rob, in conditions not so easy to dive. Top side the weather was wonderful, bottom side the vis was challenging but the girls did great. We always tell our students, if you can dive up here you can dive anywhere. Just one more dive to go to complete their certification.
