RV & Offroad with Rubirose and Wingman
RV and Off Road Adventures. Winters in the US, summers in Canada. We have since moved back to Alberta and found an acreage zoned for RV living.
We retired in 2020, sold our acreage and moved to our RV resort lot in BC we bought into in 2018.

Scrubbing the desert dust and Alberta mud off our chariot while Big Mo watches.
Big Mo did get some attention yesterday. Wingman greased the wet bolts, bearings and checked the brakes. Sometime in September I'll be giving him a good wax job.

What is your first impression of what animal this is? I won't tell you which critters we have in the area. Wingman and I disagree.
I'm curious to see how many see what I think it is, so I won't say what I think it is for a day or so.

Officially not full time rvers anymore. Big Mo will have the summers off.
On the still to do list: -more gravel by the water cistern and lower deck and front stairs
-Change out the blue rain barrels for black
-add some solar lighting
Wingman has worked hard for the last week and a bit to get the stairs built, skirting done, lower deck put back and a ramp for my dad and those of us older folks with sore knees.
Now if only the almost constant rain would stop so the lawn can recover, all the better.
16 years ago, we have ridden in some awesome places with great friends. As a group we called ourselves the Muddy Milers back then.

Well it's time to have the big reveal.
Last fall, after we sold our RV resort place in the North Shuswap, Wingman said let's either build a cabin or have one built. So we went to the local mobile home sales centre and picked out a unit, in case we decided not to build our own. While we were snowbirding in AZ , due to some physical limitations, which cancelled our plans to be our own contractor, we decided to order the home we picked out.
After many delays, some of it due to the salesman, not really with it at times, and a very rainy June and 2 more delays our home has arrived.
It's slightly larger than the park model(536 sq.ft) that we had in BC.
This one is 616 sq.ft. plus another 112 sq.ft of deck for a total of 728 sq.ft.
It's 14 wide by 52 long in total.
The only real hiccup was we had to remove both gates and one gate post as the driver didn't make his corner wide enough. So much for being professional. Anyway they got it done and by noon they left.

Another RV upgrade and a wayward bull
Wingman ordered and installed a keyless entry lock on our RVs main door. The original lock will go on the garage man door. Reason being is our RV got broken into 3 years ago and the garage lock system got changed, which resulted in a second different set of keys. I know, confusing.
Anyway, once he replaces the garage door lock with the one he just removed from the front door we will be back to 2 different keys( keyless) not 3( outside storage).
We also had a visitor last night. Our hidden camera went off, just as we were heading to bed. Wingman had a look and there is a young bull at the gate. I couldn't see him out of a window so I thought he had just gone out again. Turns out, judging from the tracks this morning, that he went behind the rv onto the lawn, maybe grazed for a bit, then wandered out again about 15 minutes later.
This morning a neighbor told us the rancher got it back last night already.
Ugh, more rain
