Here’s a tiny peek at what we’ve been working on recently in Judo!

Sensei Fred demonstrates how to take advantage of your opponent’s natural movement and timing to create opportunities for effective Ashi Waza, including De Ashi Barai and Osoto Gari.

Learning to feel and react to movement rather than forcing a technique is an important part of developing effective Judo.

Our Judo Schedule:

🥋 Wednesdays | 8:30–9:30 PM
🥋 Fridays | 7:00–8:30 PM
🥋 Sundays | 12:00–1:30 PM — Open Mat

Effective Judo isn't always about attacking harder — sometimes it's about creating the opening.

Using feints, misdirection, and combinations can force your opponent to react, creating opportunities for throws that may be difficult to hit with a direct attack.

In this demonstration, Sensei Fred shows how to use Sasae Tsurikomi Ashi to set up Osoto Gari, creating the reaction needed to finish with a powerful takedown.

🥋 Our Judo Schedule:

Wednesdays: 8:30–9:30pm
Fridays: 7:00–8:30pm
Sundays: Open Mat 12:00–1:30pm

Classes are open to all levels.
