A well deserved Happy Retirement to Grantstown Ranger! 🎉Ranger Danger has definitely been my horse of a lifetime, teaching me countless lessons, developing my “stickability” in the saddle, making me brave, and allowing me to develop into the rider I am today all while having so much fun and so many adventures over his long career. We began our journey when I bought him sight unseen from Ireland as a 4 year old. I almost sold him right away because he was SO lazy and I couldn’t even imagine him to be able to gallop out on cross country, let alone get across any of the jumps. He was so gangly that I gave him the winter out in the field to grow and when I brought him back into work as a 5 year old I had to re-back him because he turned wild, and more or less stayed that way for the rest of his career- I got my wish (we made absolute spectacles of ourselves in countless warm up rings 🤣)! We eventually moved back to Canada where he had a successful 3* FEI eventing career competing all over North America before I decided to make the switch to become a Dressage Diva and he was game to become one as well. Ranger finished his dressage career this past fall where he won his final Prix St Georges test on a personal best score, and finished as the 4th Level and Prix St Georges Champion for the Year End Awards. He then moved back home to our farm, sound and happy and looking like a million bucks to enjoy his well earned retirement. His new hobbies includes chasing his miniature pony and convincing me to feed him endless carrots, apples and the odd Guinness like a true Irishman 😉 Thank you Ranger! ❤️❤️❤️
