💃 'Twas the Night Before Dance Starts… 🩰

'Twas the night before dance starts, and all through the house,
Every parent was searching, as stressed as a mouse.
“Where are your tap shoes? Your jazz shoes? Your tights?!”
“I swear they were right here… I saw them last night!”

The dance bags were emptied, then packed up once more,
While someone found ONE ballet shoe under the door.
The bodysuit’s missing, the tights are too small,
And somehow those jazz shoes don’t fit her AT ALL. 😳

“Didn’t we JUST buy these?!” Mom cried in despair,
While hunting for hair ties and fixing dance hair.
The water bottle vanished, the dance bag’s not right,
"We'll deal with the rest in the morning---GOOD NIGHT!"🤣

The dancers were buzzing, too excited to sleep,
While parents made checklists they desperately hoped they could keep.
For tomorrow brings music, old friends and new,
And teachers yelling, “5, 6, 7, 8!” right on cue!

There’ll be pointing of toes and stretching galore,
And dance bags abandoned all over the floor. 😂
There’ll be laughter and learning and stories to share,
And probably a forgotten water bottle… somewhere.

So find those dance shoes and label your gear,
Because a brand-new dance season is finally here! 🎉

The studios are ready, the music’s turned high…
Tomorrow we DANCE — and we can’t wait to say hi! 💙✨

Wishing all of our MDC dancers, families and friends an AMAZING first week back! 💗

To our dancers — here’s to new friends, new adventures, lots of learning, plenty of laughs and an incredible year ahead. Be kind, work hard, believe in yourself and remember… you’ve got this! 🌟

And to the parents…

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS. YOU SURVIVED SUMMER. 🎉

The kids are back at school. The fridge might actually stay full for longer than 14 minutes. Nobody should be asking “What are we doing today?” every five minutes. And — dare we say it — you might even get to drink an ENTIRE cup of coffee while it’s still hot. 😂☕️

Of course, now begins the daily hunt for missing water bottles, lunch containers, permission forms and that one shoe they SWEAR they left by the door. 🤦‍♀️😂

Here’s to a fantastic school year for the kids… and a little peace and quiet for the parents! 🙌💕

Of course we teach dance — the steps, the technique, the performance skills and all those 5, 6, 7, 8’s. 😉 But some of the best things that happen inside a dance studio have nothing to do with choreography.

It’s the friendships.
The laughs between classes.
