Have you ever thought of participating in a sport where you are outside in the Sunshine socializing with new people, can play seven days a week (even at night) and play on fun local day touraments. All you need is a pair of flat soled shoes and water. You can play recreationally, competitively or both. Lawn Bowling is not a sport where bowlers wear long white shorts, hats and have white hair. Our club is open to all ages (we do not have a youth program) to come out and have some fun. The sport is not like regular bowling. There is alot of technique and expertise involved. The bowls arc left and right. We are a very socially club with beautiful grounds. On May 30th we are hosting an open house 10 to 1 pm. Come out a take a look. On June 2nd 6-8 pm and June 4th 1-3 pm, we have two dates you can choose from to come out for a 2 hour free lesson with no commitment. To register for lessons just head to our website at

Today was an incredible day. The hail was a little threatening but the rain off for the day. We had a great volunteer crew to clean up the grounds and clubhouse. 75 feet of boards had to be replaced. It was tough sledding digging down and back 2 ft and replace strapping and the boards. A hard working crew of gentlemen worked hard slugging all day. Here are a few pics of the work in progress. It’s almost that time of year!! Hoping the rain will give our green a great start. Keep an eye for some Open House and Free Lesson Dates. It’s always great to try a sport before you sign up. Spend time outdoors, learn a new sport and make new friends.

The ladies recently had their Christmas pot luck at Terry’s house (aka the Christmas Wonderland). The food and company was amazing. We all took part in the steal a gift where no one was a friend for about an hour and a half. Between LCBO cards, wine, a pashmina scarf and blanket it became cut throat. A great time was had by all. Thank you to Terry for hosting this event.

The Tuesday morning lawn bowling ladies got together for their once a month breakfast at Bayside Restaurant. Lots of stories and laughs. We all look forward to this day each month. Next month we will be at Terry Richard’s Christmas oasis for lunch.
