The Oromocto and Area Sports Wall of Fame is powered by a passionate group of volunteers who believe in recognizing and preserving the incredible achievements of athletes, teams, and builders in our community.

We are always looking for new faces to join our committee, whether you have skills in communications, event planning, fundraising, or simply a love of local sports, there is a place for you.

Since 2000, we have proudly honoured the individuals and teams who have brought distinction to Oromocto and the surrounding area, and we could not do it without dedicated volunteers like you.

Get involved in any capacity:
• Help with events and induction ceremonies
• Support communications and social media
• Assist with fundraising or outreach
• Share your ideas and energy with our team

Congratulations to Bill Jarratt, former Director of the Town of Oromocto Recreation & Tourism Department, on his recent accolades.

In October, Bill received the 𝐉𝐢𝐦 𝐅𝐨𝐱 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 from Recreation NB / Loisirs N.-B. Their awards celebrate leaders and community members whose dedication continues to strengthen recreation in New Brunswick. Recipients inspire others and help build active, inclusive, and connected communities across the province.

Bill was also recently inducted into the Oromocto and Area Sports Wall of Fame in the 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 for his role in developing programs including founding the Oromocto & Area Basketball Association.

The Blues have many endeavours which make them a good nominee for induction including represented Oromocto at the International High School Hockey Tournament in Copper Cliff Ont.
