Today our Manager Ashlee Rosnak and Coach Dave Beliveau delivered $1025 in Grocerie gift cards on behalf of the team to Purpose Church, to help keep their food bank stocked. Generosity in Action! Way to go Team.

A great night tonight at Baseball Oshawa Awards night! Congrats to everyone. 13UA was team of the year. What a great way to end an incredible season.

What a great weekend hosting the 13UA OBA’s. Amazing ball all around. Thanks to everyone who came out to watch and who donated to the food bank.

Legionaires 13U Fall After Big Comeback By Chatham Diamonds 13U

Despite leading by as many as five runs, Legionaires 13U fell to Chatham Diamonds 13U 15-5 on Saturday.

A single by Jason E put Legionaires 13U on the board in the top of the first.

Legionaires 13U added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Chatham Diamonds 13U committed an error, Chatham Diamonds 13U committed an error, and Massimo P singled, each scoring one run.

Chatham Diamonds 13U captured the lead, 7-5, in the bottom of the third when Matthew C singled, scoring two runs, and Levi G grounded out, scoring one run.

Chatham Diamonds 13U scored six runs on two hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Ostin O drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Sidney O singled, scoring two runs, and a wild pitch scored two runs.

Jason stepped on the bump first for Legionaires 13U. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and nine runs (seven earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking three. Colin W stepped on the mound first for Chatham Diamonds 13U. The righty allowed two hits and three runs (two earned) over one inning, striking out two and walking two.

Jason provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Legionaires 13U with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-2 on the day. Thomas H led Legionaires 13U with two hits in two at bats.

Matthew led Chatham Diamonds 13U with two hits in two at bats. Chatham Diamonds 13U worked the count all day, tallying six walks.

Legionaires 13U beat Quinte Royals 13U 9-5 on Saturday.

Legionaires 13U jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Logan C induced Cameron T to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored, Austin B doubled, scoring one run, Jayce D singled, scoring one run, Ryan M singled, scoring one run, and William B doubled, scoring two runs.

Legionaires 13U added one run in the third after Daniel C hit into a fielder's choice.

Massimo P opened the game for Legionaires 13U. The righty allowed seven hits and four runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out nine and walking none. Logan started on the mound for Quinte Royals 13U. The starter allowed 10 hits and nine runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Jayce appeared in relief for Legionaires 13U.

Legionaires 13U piled up 14 hits in the game. William drove the middle of the lineup, leading Legionaires 13U with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Massimo, Ryan, William, Jason E, and Thomas H each collected two hits for Legionaires 13U.

Reed G, Lucas R, and Bentley G each collected two hits for Quinte Royals 13U. Rowyn H, Reed, Lucas, and Jaxon P each drove in one run for Quinte Royals 13U. Quinte Royals 13U turned one double play in the game.

Thomas H’s Big Day Propels Legionaires 13U Past Burlington Bulls 13U A

Thomas H collected three hits in three at bats, as Legionaires 13U defeated Burlington Bulls 13U A 9-5 on Friday. Thomas singled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

Legionaires 13U jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Massimo P singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

Legionaires 13U added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Burlington Bulls 13U A committed an error, and Austin B singled, each scoring one run.

William B stepped on the mound first for Legionaires 13U. The southpaw allowed two hits and two runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking five. Ben S stepped on the mound first for Burlington Bulls 13U A. The left-handed pitcher allowed three hits and three runs (zero earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking none. Alexander R threw one and one-third innings of shutout ball for Legionaires 13U in relief. The lefty gave up one hit, striking out two and walking none.

Legionaires 13U accumulated 12 hits in the game. Massimo and Thomas each collected three hits for Legionaires 13U. Jason E and Thomas were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Legionaires 13U. Cameron T collected two hits for Legionaires 13U in three at bats. Legionaires 13U turned two double plays in the game.

Burlington Bulls 13U A's Reed M, the number seven hitter, led Burlington Bulls 13U A with three hits in four at bats. Ben K led Burlington Bulls 13U A with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Rain S led Burlington Bulls 13U A with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game.

Day 1 of 13UA OBA’s in the books, boys played an amazing game against Burlington for a 9-5 win. Facing off against Quinte at 1pm tomorrow at Jim Lutton Field. Due to light issues at another Diamond we had the excitement of watching the last out in the London- Quinte game after ours.

One more sleep! We’ve been waiting for this day all year! Come out and support the home town team as we host the 13UA OBA’s this weekend! Let’s make it a sea of blue and gold!
