You might think that the leaner you are, the healthier you are butâŠ
Thatâs not always the case đ€«
Thereâs a reason why bodybuilders and fitness models donât stay âshow readyâ year-roundâŒïž
Under 10% body fat your hormones get out of whackâŠ
âïžTestosterone levels go down (tanking your s*x drive and ability to preserve muscle)
âïžThyroid hormone levels drop (dragging down your metabolism)
âïž Cortisol levels increase (impairing your ability to recover from workouts)
âïž Leptin goes down and grehlin goes up (making your hunger and food cravings stronger than ever)
âïž As for women, they can suffer from irregular periods or lose them altogether.
If your goal is to win a show, then you gotta get as lean as humanly possible, otherwise youâre going to lose to someone leaner.
But if youâre goal is to look good and FEEL good, then you gotta aim for what I call the âathletic-aesthetic sweet spot.â
In this photo, Iâm right between 9-11% body fat and I can maintain that look year round without feeling like đ©

I noticed that Iâve been getting haters leaving comments on my workout tips and tbhâŠ
Iâve been tempted to reply back with âbruh⊠if you tried XYZ, you might have bigger shouldersâŠâ
But that wouldnât help anyone other than myself to satisfy my own ego đ
So instead Iâve just been blocking any trolls because unfortunately, I canât help people who donât want to be helped.
For everyone else here, continue learning!
The exercise tips I share are tips Iâve picked up from IFBB pros, powerlifters, Olympic weightlifters and everyday people at my local gym.
The second you think you know it all, youâre going to stay stuck on the level youâre on!

Once upon a time I was on CTV News giving fitness advice for the âNew Year, New Meâ crowd but there was something I left outâŠ
The best way to start the New Year strong is by starting BEFORE the New Year.
If you can build a consistent routine now, and strengthen your mindset to stick with it throughout the winter months and the Holidays (the toughest time to stick to a plan)âŠ
Then staying consistent for the rest of the year is going to be much simpler đ
In the bodybuilding world we say âSummer bodies are built in the winter.â
If you want to make the most out of 2022, then make the most out of the 46 days left in 2021 đ„
Get ahead of the game and start your journey sooner rather than later đȘ

If someone tells you that your goals are not possible, theyâre either unsupportive or uninformed.
My mom has always been supportive but there was a time when she thought all of my working out and dieting was⊠weird đ
She knew what I was doing was important to me but she didnât see my vision.
That wasnât her fault, she just didnât understand bodybuilding.
When I started âbulkingâ she thought I was just getting fat.
When I started âcuttingâ she would get offended when I said âno thanksâ to seconds during holiday dinners.
But once I got closer to my vision, got leaner and my muscle definition became more noticeable, she began to understand.
She could see that the hard work was paying off after all â
Nowadays she doesnât get offended when Iâm in a cutting season.
Nowadays, she gets it!
If youâre around people who are telling you that your goals are unrealisticâŠ
âŠwhether they have good intentions or bad intentionsâŠ
either way, most of the time you just gotta prove them wrong đ„
