Starting July 9, I'll be running summer back yard yoga again! One hour classes will be held in my shady, private backyard backing on to Lake Ontario Sunday evenings at 7:00. Classes are designed for beginners, are suitable for all levels and all bodies. Classes will not run on long weekends, and will be indoors if the weather does not permit outdoor.

So many benefits to a regular yoga practice. All of the ones mentioned in the image are especially important for people navigating the challenges of perimenopause and menopause. Consider yoga therapy as a complement to other therapies you may be seeking.

Well it might not technically be fall, but summer yoga is done so I say bring on fall! Sunday evening slow/restorative yoga is back in hybrid with zoom or in studio option (limited studio space) and a few openings for private yoga therapy sessions available both in studio and virtual. Two of my favourite variations of camel pose or Ustrasana are baby camel or half camel. Try these when full camel doesn’t feel right either physically or emotionally. Remember heart openers can leave us feeling particularly vulnerable and we might not always be in a good space to handle that. Listen to your body, your mind, and your heart when choosing which variation is right for you in this moment.
