Thunderstruck Gellyball Extravaganza

It's with great sadness that I make this post.

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control, my truck is no longer road worthy. Furthermore my friend's truck that I had use of as a backup has been sold due to gas prices.

This means that I am currently unable to host portable parties on weekends. Also, all attempts that I have made thus far to establish a fixed location that people can come to has proved challenging due to misunderstood Covid restrictions and some property owners quite frankly asking way to much.

So....

Where does that leave Thunderstruck? Due to the uncertainties I can not take any bookings. As much as I WANT TO, I can't. I cannot in good conscience ask for payments in advance with the risk of me not being able to keep my word.

Moving forward... I have a trailer that is being converted for use by Gellyball right now but it's going to take some time to get it where I want it and a hitch installed on my car.

Also, I am still looking for a suitable indoor location. My goal is to have an indoor location for fall.

Thank you all so much for your patience. I am terribly disappointed that I haven't been able to run parties for the last few months. I will be honest, Iove running them probably as much as the people like playing them.

Hopefully I have better news for you all really soon.

GOOD MORNING! I just turned down the 12th booking in the last month because I can't run a game in the snow or freezing weather. That said, with Covid restrictions lifting, 2022 looks like it's going to be an amazing year! Thank you all so much for reaching out and following along with this page! I CAN NOT WAIT to open up for business and see all your smiling faces! ☺️

HEY EVERYONE!

What a crazy winter! Messages are starting to come in asking when I am opening. I am not sure at this time, as it all depends on the weather. The equipment doesn't function well in the cold. But spring is coming and I can't wait to start seeing all the laughter and happy faces!

With the snow coming in soon, Thunderstruck may need to hibernate for the winter. I am looking for a heated indoor space to keep this going year round so cross your fingers for me! If anyone out there knows of a privately owned location in the area (GTA East) that is sitting dormant, please reach out to me.

What a great birthday in the Kitchener/Waterloo area! It was a bit of a drive but seeing all the happy kids having an amazing time made it all worth it! Such a great day on Sunday. It rained a bit but that didn't wet anybody's spirits!

What do you do on a a Friday to blow off some steam if you are a private school and field trips are impossible to book due to Covid? Well... you call Thunderstruck of coarse and we make our own fun!

I just received a PM asking if "tipping" was something that is common for my industry. First off... there's just me... there isn't a "Gellyball Industry" I'm the first and to my knowledge ONLY Gellyball business in Ontario (heck, the eastern side of Canada really!)

That aside, let me answer this publicly... I "have" been tipped but it isn't often and it's definitely not something that I expect. If you feel like I have done an amazing job and you want to tip, I won't say no as this is a service business and I need the money. Who doesn't these days right? LOL!

That said... THE BEST TIP you can give me is just share the heck out of these posts; tell your friends and family what a great time you had and generally just spread the word of Thunderstruck Gellyball Extravaganza! That more than anything else, helps me grow. Nobody knows what Gellyball even is. Everyone thinks it's messy, or that it hurts, or that people need a change of clothes... etc etc...

So if you want to "tip me"... just please... tell your friends and family about me. Share any pictures you take from the party on your social media. THAT is the BEST TIP I could ask for.

You guys are the greatest. I think that I have the best customers in the world. I can't wait to have fun with each and every one of you again.

What a great birthday party today! I swear I have the best customers in the world. Kids had a great time. We had a beautiful large flat yard to set up in so we set up the bunkers farther apart and had the kids running like crazy. I don't have pictures of it but all the adults played a game together while the kids were having a refreshment break. So many laughs had today.

I can't tell you all how much I love this job, getting to see smiling happy faces, people playing, and just generally appreciating each other. Best job ever.

What am I doing up at midnight? Preparing for tomorrow's next Thunderstruck Gellyball Extravaganza birthday party happening tomorrow. Bunkers loaded up, batteries charged, hoppers full with LOTS of extra Gellyballs to reload the hoppers with. Birthday boy is going to have a heck of a surprise party when he gets home from school.
