The 15U Elite Oshawa Legionaires are your 2026 PBLO Champions!

The Legionaires capped off an incredible playoff run with a commanding 12-2 victory over the London Badgers on Sunday at Kirkey Field to bring home the championship.

After opening the scoring in the second inning on a wild pitch, the Legionaires continued to apply pressure, adding another run in the third before breaking the game open and never looking back.

Lucas Worthen was outstanding on the bump, throwing six strong innings while allowing just two runs—both unearned—on six hits. He struck out four and walked one, giving the Legionaires exactly the start they needed.

The offense was fueled by contributions throughout the lineup. Charlie Bovos, Bentley Lockhart, Xavier Gonsalves, Brendan Weales, Reilly Froats, Heyden Jeffery, Ayden Ward, Nikolas Piras, and Tyson Smith all collected hits. With the championship within reach, Heyden delivered the final blow, driving in the last two runs to seal the 12-2 victory. The Legionaires also turned a key double play to back Worthen’s stellar outing.

This championship wasn’t won in one game or one weekend. It was earned through months of hard work, preparation, resilience, and a commitment to each other every single day.

Thank you for the countless hours you’ve invested, the lessons you’ve taught, and the belief you’ve shown in every player on this roster. Your leadership, dedication, and passion have helped shape this team into champions, and this season would not have been possible without you.

Walk-off win. The Legionaires are moving on.

After trailing 6-2 early, the Oshawa Legionaires battled all the way back to earn a thrilling 7-6 victory over the London Badgers in the PBLO Championship.

Nolan Bannon led the offence with 4 RBI on two hits, while Tyson Smith added a pair of hits. Logan Burns went the distance on the mound, and the team showed patience at the plate, drawing seven walks.

With two outs, the bases loaded, and the game tied in the bottom of the 7th, the winning run crossed the plate on a wild pitch and a heads-up steal of home by Bentley Lockhart to complete the comeback.

A dominant start to the PBLO Championship.

The Legionaires opened the weekend with a 14-0 win over the Ontario Giants at Kirkey Field.

Tyson Smith got the start and set the tone with 4.0 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out five. Ewan Amodeo closed it out with a scoreless fifth.

The offence stayed hot from start to finish, piling up 10 hits and 11 stolen bases. Charlie Bovos led the way with two hits and three RBI, while Jacob Fairey and Cody McCormick each added two hits. Reilly Froats, Xavier Gonsalves, Nolan Bannon and the rest of the lineup kept the pressure on all game.

A complete team effort on both sides of the ball to kick off championship weekend.

The 15U PBLO Playoffs take place this weekend, July 24–26, in Pickering, and we’re excited to begin the next chapter of our season.

After finishing the regular season with an incredible 30-1 record, the Oshawa Legionaires enter the playoffs as the #1 seed. It’s been a season built on hard work, commitment, and teamwork, and we’re ready for the challenge ahead.

Our playoff journey begins Friday at 6:00 PM. We hope to see plenty of fans in the stands as we chase a championship.
