Cody McCormick led the charge with three hits and five RBI, while Reilly Froats added three hits of his own. Tyson Smith and Brendan Weales each chipped in multiple hits as the offence exploded for 10 runs in the sixth inning.
Lucas Worthen was outstanding on the mound, going six strong innings while allowing just one run and striking out seven. The boys also showed patience at the plate with nine walks, swiped six bases, and played flawless defence without committing an error.
Jacob Fairey and Nikolas Piras were active on the bases, each stealing two bags as the Legionaires continued to apply pressure throughout the game.
A special shoutout to the Pickering Prospects crew for their efforts in keeping the field safe and playable despite the wet conditions. Much appreciated by everyone involved.
