Great weekend for Fall Ball.

The bats were rolling, the competition was strong, and the boys put together another solid weekend on the field.

A little chilly for the fans — but nobody was complaining about the baseball.

16U Elite Oshawa Legionaires saved the fireworks for Game 2.

A 16-13 win over Ontario Prospects 16U at Kinsmen Stadium capped off a big offensive day, with the Legionaires piling up 19 hits and putting together a five-run comeback in the fourth to pull away.

Nikolas Piras was the difference-maker, going 3-for-3 with a double and five RBI. He came through in every big spot — a two-run single in the first, a two-run double in the third and another RBI single in the fourth.

Cody McCormick and Reilly Froats also collected three hits, while Charlie Bovos, Connor Wynistorf and Jacob Fairey added multiple-hit games.

The Legionaires showed plenty of patience at the plate too, drawing eight walks and keeping the pressure on all game long.

On the mound, Tyson Smith got the start, with Milo Wand, Brendan Weales and Jacob Fairey each throwing a scoreless inning in relief.

19 hits. 16 runs. 5 RBI from Piras. And another one in the win column.

That’s a Sunday at Kinsmen.

12 RUNS. 10 HITS. 7 STOLEN BASES.

Game 1 belongs to the Legionaires.

16U Elite Oshawa Legionaires 2026-27 rolled past Ontario Prospects 16U 12-2 on Sunday at Kinsmen Stadium.

After trailing 1-0 early, the Legionaires flipped the game in the bottom of the third, putting up six runs on four hits to take a 6-1 lead. Nolan Bannon delivered the big blow with a two-run single on the sixth pitch of the at-bat.

Bannon, Reilly Froats and Tyson Smith led the way with two hits apiece, while Bannon, Froats and Dylan Kimmerly each drove in two.

Logan Burns got the start and worked three strong innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out four. Connor Wynistorf followed in relief.

The Legionaires showed great patience at the plate with six walks, then put the pressure on the bases with seven stolen bases. Lucas Worthen, Jacob Fairey and Smith each swiped multiple bags.

A big offensive day, aggressive on the bases and a strong start to Sunday.

Another one in the win column.

The 16U Elite Oshawa Legionaires 2026-27 defeated Wolfpack Baseball Club 16U, 6-2, on Saturday.

The Legionaires broke through in the third inning after Jacob Fairey was hit by a pitch. Nolan Bannon followed with an RBI single, and Milo Wand added a two-run single to give Oshawa the lead.

Braydon Teichberg started on the mound and delivered three strong innings, striking out five while allowing just one hit and no runs. Cody McCormick, Nikolas Piras and Logan Burns followed in relief, combining to allow two runs.

Bannon, Lucas Worthen and Fairey each recorded two hits, while Wand and Fairey drove in two runs apiece.

Strong pitching. Timely hitting. Two double plays.

GAME 2 | 8–6 W

Two games. Two wins. A perfect Sunday at Kinsmen.

Game 2 was a battle as the 16U Elite Legionaires went back and forth with our 15U squad before putting together a three-run seventh to take the 8–6 win.

Connor Wynistorf, Reilly Froats, Peter Grace, Dylan Kimmerly, Ayden Ward and Tyson Smith each drove in a run, while Cody McCormick led the way with two hits.

On the mound, Milo Wand got the start, with Logan Burns and Jacob Fairey coming in strong in relief. The pitching staff kept battling and gave the boys the chance to make the late push.

Eight walks showed plenty of patience at the plate, and the defence turned two double plays to keep things moving.

Our 16U Elite Legionaires came ready to play.

11 runs, 12 stolen bases, six walks and plenty of pressure on the basepaths as the boys rolled past our 15U Elite Legionaires at Kinsmen.

Nolan Bannon got things started with an RBI double, Peter Grace drove in two, Brendan Weales added to the lead, and a five-run fourth put the game away.

On the mound, Lucas Worthen got the start and punched out five over three innings, followed by Dylan Kimmerly with two scoreless innings in relief.

Grace went 2-for-2 with two RBI, while Grace, Weales and Jacob Fairey each swiped multiple bags.

A great day of baseball with our Legionaires family — and a pretty good way to start the day.
