The semifinals get underway August 7th, with each matchup playing a best-of-three series. If a third game is needed, it will be played on August 8th, before everything comes down to the HPH Championship Game on August 9th.

FINAL | Billiard Insurance Group 6 - Chasin’ Turkeys 3

Billiard Insurance Group picked up an impressive 6-3 victory over the Chasin’ Turkeys on Thursday evening, using balanced scoring and a strong performance in goal to secure two more points in the HPH Top Prospects League.

Ethan McTavish led the way offensively with 2 goals, while Matt Legge added a goal and an assist. Gabe Bergeron, Reid Harper, and Nicko Beckett also found the back of the net as BIG generated 36 shots on goal throughout the contest. Playmakers Owen Devlin, Parker Tam, and Xavier Goussis each recorded two assists, helping fuel a well-rounded offensive attack.

In goal, Marcus Smolcic was outstanding, turning aside 33 of 36 shots to backstop the victory.

The Chasin’ Turkeys were led by Dylan Hughes, who scored twice, while Finnley Panciuk added a goal and an assist. Andrew Enright, Bryce Rebertz, Will Gray, and Alexander Holloway each picked up an assist, but despite a strong push offensively, the Turkeys couldn’t overcome BIG’s depth and timely scoring. Goaltender Kale Osipenko made 25 saves on 31 shots in the effort.

BIG continues to build momentum with another complete team performance, while the Chasin’ Turkeys will look to bounce back in their next outing.
