Meet Coach Andrew Karn, Head Coach of our U8 First Down program.

Now in his third season leading First Down, Andrew brings years of youth football coaching experience and a genuine passion for working with young athletes.

His patience, energy, and ability to make the game fun help create a positive first football experience for our youngest Raiders. From learning the fundamentals to building confidence and teamwork, Andrew provides the foundation that helps set our players up for success as they begin their football journey.

We’re excited to welcome back two dedicated coaches who bring experience, passion, and a commitment to player development.

Offensive Coordinator Jason Bond enters his 9th season coaching with the Raiders across both flag and tackle football. His commitment to the program and to growing the game of football in Ottawa speaks for itself. Jason brings experience, consistency, and a clear standard for how the game should be played.

Defensive Coordinator Ben Kelly has been part of the Raiders family since 2023 as both a flag and tackle coach. With a background in university wrestling and rugby, Ben emphasizes hard work, grit, and player development in everything he does.

Together, these coaches will help lead our U12 athletes as they develop their skills, build confidence, and compete this season.

The Gloucester South Raiders are excited to welcome back Coach Tom Bettino as Head Coach & Offensive Coordinator and Coach Spencer McIntosh as Defensive Coordinator for the 2026 season.

Entering his fifth season with the Raiders and eighth season coaching overall, Tom brings experience from the NCAFA, OVFL, and OSFL levels. His focus on fundamentals, player development, accountability, and a team-first attitude continues to help build a competitive and positive environment for our athletes.

Spencer returns for his fourth season with the Raiders U16 program. A former OVFL, Team Ontario, and Carleton University player, he has been coaching since 2018 and has served as a defensive line coach, linebacker coach, and Defensive Coordinator during his time with the Raiders.

Together, Tom and Spencer bring a wealth of playing and coaching experience to our U16 program as they prepare for the upcoming season.

The Gloucester South Raiders U14 squad is loading up for a serious season and we’re bringing in elite leadership on both sides of the ball.

We are proud to have former CFL player Abdul Kanneh leading our offence as Offensive Coordinator. Abdul brings professional-level experience, knowledge, and energy to our program, along with a passion for developing athletes the right way.

Defensively, Coach Hendy Fontaine returns to lead the other side of the ball. A long-time Raiders coach and a highly respected name in the Ottawa football community, Coach Hendy continues to make an impact on and off the field through leadership, discipline, and player development.

Add in Head Coach Josh Andrews and this U14 staff is built to compete.
