We had a fantastic first week of karate camp!! Our days were filled with karate fun, trips to the park, outdoor activities, crafts, and of course all capped off with two action packed games LaserMaxx Ottawa!!
We loved seeing the friendships forged, teamwork and the tired smiles at the end of great day!

I'd like you to meet my friend Loic!
Small Town. Big Dream.

Loic has been part of my karate journey almost since the very beginning, five years ago. He was an instant friend and teammate.

For years, we shared the same dream—to earn a spot on Team Canada and compete at the WKC World Championships.
Last year, we both achieved that dream! Even though he had moved to a different dojo, we each qualified and represented Canada from different dojos.

This year is extra special.
In December of 2025 I joined Loic at Douvris Ottawa East and we both qualified once again for Team Canada!
Now we're reunited, training together, cheering each other on, and getting ready to represent Canada at the World Championships in Cádiz, Spain this October.

As our friendship grows our training and dreams grow as well. Please help these two amazing athletes reach their dream to compete on the world stage.

We had an amazing time at our Douvris In-House tournament last Sunday!! We loved the way you guys carried yourself on/off the mats and how you all supported each other throughout the day!

Lots of smiles, hardware and important lessons learned as well! We look forward to seeing you all at the next one!

Our next In-House tournament is coming up fast! Step out of your comfort zone, compete against fellow students your own age/belt level and most importantly HAVE FUN!

Cost is $20 for tykes and $30 for kids kata/sparring. Once again at the Hilton Garden Inn!

We look forward to seeing you all there and showing our Ottawa-East spirit!
