OFTEN TIMES… THE BIGGEST WARS ARE HAPPENING ON THE INSIDE.
2 months ago, I got hit with my internal war. Came out of the blue and ever since I’ve given myself the grace to work through it. Been down this road before like many, but it didn’t make it any less terrifying.
I rested on my experience, my support circle, my tools I’ve learned on how to manage and oddly on time. Having had anxiety and OCD most of my life, I’m not stranger to dark times. So I have lots of experience, and mental exercises to slowly and effectively come to the light. Knowing what I can take on, what I can put aside, and knowing what I cannot makes life easier. So coming up with what I can and cannot do while I work through this season made this time speedier. Know doubt, having a strong support group obviously is a strong advantage. Could be parents, family, friends, therapist or someone you can talk to and trust. So much power in this. I’m blessed for mine. But there’s always someone you can talk to, just have to think about it a little. Then my tools , that’s stuff like mindfulness, podcasts for more knowledge of mental health, hobbies that distract me, and all the stuff I do that build my day and a routine that is intended to build me back to health.
It’s not an easy road, but it’s well worth the challenge.

It’s always always ALWAYS been a big hairy audacious goal of mine to run a marathon!
This year I doing it in MTL for my birthday weekend.
My amazing girlfriend will be there for me as my designated bad a$$ cheerleader❤️
I will certainly prep to death, and get there ready to slay the race.

Tremblant in the rain-Hardest race I’ve ever done.
23 km- Longest race I’ve ever done.
6000 feet - Most altitude I’ve ever climbed.
It was a challenge that I enjoyed and I definitely will be back for more. I’m currently looking towards my next races which I plan on doing a half marathon and a marathon.
These goals are great for me because it’s somewhere I can put my athletic ability and work in the gym to the test. It’s also a way for me to hold myself accountable to the highest degree. That being nutrition, not drinking, working out with purpose, staying on my cardio game, and just being the best man I can be.
