Good morning, rueda-lovers!
We’re just 60 days away from the biggest, baddest (bad=good, think Michael Jackson), bulla-est rueda event this side of the Atlantic! On Saturday, October 3rd, the 2026 edition of RUEDAY arrives and it promises to be the best one yet. Rueday not only combines the words Rueda and Day (we know—Ethan is not the most creative tool in the shed), it also combines some of the best teachers around with workshops focusing on the most brilliant and challenging ideas in the world of rueda de casino, incredible open-air parties, the beauty of New York in the autumn when the leaves on our city’s tree (yes singular—we only have one amid the concrete) turn to beautiful shades, and most importantly, nearly 200 dancers, and YOU, all to make for an unforgettable weekend.
But the Rueday extended universe is much more than just the main event on Saturday.
On Friday, October 2nd, you’ll be treated to a live concert by El Noro y La Primera Close, one of the top Cuban bands around, dancing the night away to all of their hits, bops, and bangers. On Sunday, October 4th, we’ve got a very special edition of our intensive social dance training event, Así Se Goza, focused entirely on SON! Our team of teachers will guide you from everything there is to know about improving your son skills, from clave to contratiempo, guajira to guaracha, tornillos to tumbaos. We’ll be in a beautiful space in midtown Manhattan, with rooftop dancing and views across the city.
