A few pictures from our recent club tournaments and results of the final matches:

The club junior tournament was yesterday with 10 closely matches players. Making it to the semi finals we had Benji take on Sam and Eden taking on her brother, Gray. Benji and Gray won their semi final matches and played a closely contested set for the championship. Gray, our 2023 champion, held off a couple match points, but ultimately Benji was able to make it one step farther than 2024 when he was our finalist, taking the set 6-4.
Well fought everyone!

The women's doubles final was another close one with tie breaks and a third set needed. In the end Leona and Heather won 7-6, 6-7, 6-2 against Margot and Gillian.

Men's doubles finals: match point for both teams! Ludovic and Olivier took on Matt and Phil in a rematch of the 2023 finals. Once again it went to three sets. Ludovic and Olivier had a match point in the 2nd set tie break, but in the end Matt and Phil defended the title 6-7(6), 7-6(6), 6-1.

Up next: Women's doubles final this Thursday at 6:30pm.

The men and women's singles draws are completed. For a second year in a row we had Alex Mach take on Eddie Alculumbre. Alex was going for his first title while Eddie was looking to be the first male singles player to win three years in a row. Eddie did just that and won 6-4, 6-0. On the women's side we had Julie Findlay and Eden Potopsingh-Dumoulin both trying for their first title. In the end Julie prevailed 6-1, 6-1. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all who participated on the courts and on the deck! The atmosphere made the tournaments lots of fun for all.
