Navan Curling Club

On Thursday, April 9th, some members of the Club’s Thursday Afternoon League joined with some friends, colleagues, and family to say thank you to two long-time icons of the Navan Curling Club.

Claude Beaulne and Luc Landriault, with 49 and 46 years of experience respectively, retired from the sport of curling.

The club hosted a small event that paid tribute and thanks to these two gentlemen for their years of time, effort, and dedication both to the sport of curling as well as to the Navan Curling Club. The reception was also attended by some of Claude and Luc’s family, including their wives Denise and Louise, both of whom are members of our Curling Club as well. It was a fitting farewell to two members who have given so much over the past 40 years to our Curling Club.

Thank you, Claude and Luc. You will be missed both on and off the curling ice next season.

We are gearing up for an incredible Championship Day tomorrow! Here is everything you need to know to make the most of our season finale:

- The Food: Our competing teams will be treated to delicious snacks, courtesy of Francyne and her team. If there are leftovers once the teams have had their fill, spectators are welcome to grab a bite for a small donation to help cover costs.

- The Games: Bring your loonies and toonies! We’ll have various raffles and fun gambling games running throughout the event, including our final 50/50 draw of the season.

- The Entertainment: To cap off the night, the party band Sterling will take the stage after 8:00 PM, rocking the house as we celebrate the end of a fantastic year.

Whether you're there for the curling, the music, or the community, let’s make this a night to remember.
