This month, our focus is PIVOTS: individual technique, partner drills, and musicality ideas for the most challenging element of tango that everyone has to do. Make your tango life easier by building a more reliable, more confident pivot technique. Great for all levels.

Pancho and Jewel will start 2026 with an injection of JOY with a Milonga workshop. Learn to move with speed and control and create a groovy flow that’s fun, not frenzied!

Pre-Práctica Workshop: Sun, Jan 11, 4:00 PM, 61 Main St.
Jewel and Pancho’s Close Embrace workshop is for intermediate dancers and up. Learn how to co-create an embrace that is intimate yet effective for whatever figures you want to do. You’ll also review how to walk and move in a way that supports the embrace. Set the tone for your year of great social dancing :-)

Looking back with gratitude as we start our 20th year in this dance.
A big "Thank you" to all our teachers, partners in classes, partners at the milongas, students, event patrons, helping hands, and the organizers who make each event we attend possible. It takes a huge group of people over many years to sustain just one life in tango.
Tango is a cultural practice, an avenue to pleasure and delight, an art passed down through touch. We are fortunate to be mere links in this chain.

SPECIAL PRE-PRACTICA CLASS
November 30, 4:00 to 5:15 PM
We hope all of our beginner-level students come to the Holiday Edition of Milonga La Capital on Saturday, December 13. So this Sunday, we're offering a special class on what to expect at the milonga and how to navigate the dance floor. Then you’ll join the Sunday Práctica so you can practice dancing in the ronda, get used to dancing tandas, and meet some people outside your class. It really helps to “preview” the milonga by going to a práctica!
We hope that some more advanced dancers will come share their time and experience with our beginners, too!
Price: $12 per person. Your class fees include the práctica at 5 PM. No registration needed - just show up!
