In the middle of exam season, busy schedules, and the general pace of life, dance class becomes something truly special. It’s a space where students can step away from stress, clear their minds, and reconnect with themselves through movement.

For many of our dancers, the studio is more than just a place to train. It’s where focus replaces overwhelm, where music guides you instead of deadlines, and where progress is measured not in grades, but in growth, discipline, and joy.

And it’s not just the students who feel it. Teachers experience that same sense of escape and purpose. No matter what is happening outside the studio, stepping into class brings everyone back to a shared rhythm, a shared goal, and a shared love for dance.

Today is a reminder of why we do this. Through every challenge, every long day, and every busy season, dance remains a constant, something that grounds us, lifts us, and brings us together.

July 20 – August 7
Location: ODCS, 501 Old St Patrick St, Ottawa

This summer, train at Ottawa Dance Centre School’s Summer Ballet Intensive Program, offering a focused, disciplined, and immersive approach to classical ballet in a professional conservatory-style setting.

Program includes:
- Daily classical ballet technique
- Pointe or pre-pointe (by level)
- Classical repertoire and variations
- Conditioning and ballet-specific strengthening
- Artistic development and performance
- Individualized corrections and feedback
