StFX ranks #1 nationally in reputation among Canadian undergraduate universities - Maclean’s University finishes 4th overall in the countryOn October 14, Maclean’s annual University Rankings revealed that St. Francis Xavier University has the best reputation of all primarily undergraduate universities in Canada. StFX also finished fourth overall within its category of 20.

We are delighted to invite StFX alumni and friends in Ottawa - along with prospective students and their parents - to a special event on Oct 30th hosted at the Senate of Canada by The Honourable Senator Mary Coyle.

Senator Coyle will be joined by StFX President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Andy Hakin and his wife, Linda, who look forward to celebrating StFX’s recent success in the Maclean’s rankings - including being ranked #1 in Reputation in the country in the primarily undergraduate category!

🎉 During the game, the BlackJacks will honour Coach Konchalski for his long-standing connection to Ottawa and Canadian basketball. As Special Advisor to the Calgary Surge, it’s fitting that he’ll be recognized while both teams are in town.

Together, the StFX community mourns the loss of a remarkable Xaverian — Rev. Stanley MacDonald, Class of 1954, our beloved Fr. Stan. He represented the very best of being Xaverian. May his noble spirit rest in peace.

It is with a heavy heart that the university announces the passing of Fr. Stanley MacDonald. A cherished Xaverian, Fr. Stan’s warmth and spirit touched generations and will be deeply missed.
