Hey Bees, some of you footy seveners may remember Tim as one of the referees in the earlier days of the league. Others may recall him subbing with us on occasion back a few years now. Am sharing this sad news for those of you who know him or wish to contribute.

Timothy (Timo) Khaemba is one of the most dynamic and dangerous attacking players to ever dawn the Carleton Raven’s jersey. A fearsome force with both speed and a powerful shot, Timo was feared by many of his opposing players not only for his incredible pace on the pitch but also his crunching t.....

2018 is over in terms of Bees footy. This year, much like the activity on this page, the Bees scaled back quite a bit. We dropped down to only one team, men's on Fridays. Our silverware dried up for the most part, a single Friday men's championship to show for the winter season. It's still been a fun and challenging year and we show no sign of stopping anytime soon.
2018 was also the year I personally hung up the boots. After a brief return to action this spring, I suffered yet another concussion which, although not as severe as prior ones, was enough for me to walk away from playing the game that has been such a big part of my life since childhood. I now live vicariously through my fellow Bees. :-)
Without further ado, here are the Bees top scorers for 2018:
Goals:
1. Rab (59)
2. Tyler (46)
3. Ali (32)
4. Stell (29)
5. Sefton (27)
Assists:
1. Rab (37)
2. Stell (31)
3. Tyler (28)
4. Ali (20)
5. tie - Ander and Mourad (13)
Thanks to everyone who has been a part of the journey thus far. Wishing you all a happy 2019 on and off the pitch.

The Bees also added some championships to the collection in 2017.
First off, Wednesday Bees took home both the Fall 2016/17 and Winter co-ed championships at uOttawa.
Spring 2017 saw the Tuesday Bees win the league at Louis Riel, the Wednesday Bees win the league at Carleton and the Friday Bees win the men's 11-a-side league and cup for the second straight year.
We also lost a couple of finals, none more heartbreaking than the Kicking Cancer's Butt tournament final against Armee Rouge.
All in all we now have 32 championships to our name. We're down to only two teams at the moment so the silverware is bound to dry up but we hope to add a few more.
Thank you to all of you for being a part of the Bees familia. Here's to a fun, healthy and successful 2018 on and off the pitch!

Campeones! A week after retaining the Men's 11s cup, the Friday Bees made it a double by taking home the league title with a hard fought 3-1 victory over the only team to defeat us all season, Purple Rain.
After running out 9-1 winners in the cup final, it was perhaps no surprise to see such a nonchalant start to the game. We did manage to open the scoring when Andrew latched onto a nice ball over the top from Sylvain and made no mistake, slotting into the bottom right corner with his left foot.
Our opponents didn't give up and equalized soon after. We had a game on our hands. A mixed first half ended on a positive note when Tyler regained possession in the attacking third, ran at the defence with intent and smashed into the corner. 2-1 at the half.
The Bees came into the second half more focused and utilized the width of the big Carleton pitch to our advantage, finding Stell in acres of space on countless occasions. The dagger came when man of the match Andrew subbed back on and with his first touch found the back of the net after being played in by Tyler. 3-1 is how it ended.
Massive thanks to Nick Labelle for playing in goal and helping us to victory. Your selflessness is unparalleled and appreciated.
Shout out to our strike force of Andrew and Tyler who, in the absence of our famous ARC triad (Ali, Rab and Chima) stepped up and led us to victory up front.
Shout out to our solid defence for holding things down all season. Chico, Terry, Anders, Dave, Nick, Auga.
This makes three men's 11s league titles in five years, two league and cup doubles in a row and is the 32nd trophy in Bees history. 13 games, 45 goals for, 9 against and 8 clean sheets split equally between Fede and Nick. Great season lads!

Campeones! Friday Bees retained the Men's 11s cup last night in convincing fashion, our second cup final victory in the league cup's 4-year history.
After a strong start, the result was never in doubt. Andrew opened the scoring with a good hit from distance. Chima was sent in on goal by Tyler and made no mistake as he rounded the keeper to put the Bees 2-0 up less than halfway through the opening half. Tyler then chipped the keeper to make it 3-0 and heads dropped on the other side.
Man of the match Ali added two goals before halftime and two more after while Chima added a second after great work by Sylvain in the middle. Sefton rounded out the scoring. 9-1 the final score over BDFC. Comprehensive indeed.
Shout out to Nick who was one well-placed shot away from what would have been his league leading 5th clean sheet of the season.
Shout out to Bees alumnus Dave May for making an appearance, luckily he wasn't cup tied!
31 trophies in the Bees cabinet now. Running out of storage space!

Campeones! Tuesday Bees completed an unbeaten season with a composed 3-0 victory over Goal Diggers in the spring final at Louis Riel.
Goals from Chima, Tarik and Krystina with a clean sheet for Micky. Solid defending throughout from Sean, Chico, Mel and Kaitlin.
14 games, 14 wins, 107 goals for, 32 against. 🔥🔥🔥
Shout out to our absentee girls Courtney, Kristin and Jessica who combined for 34 goals between them.
30 championships in the bag. More to come!

The Bees men's 11s team played host to my alma mater, the Nipissing Lakers in both Friday and Saturday games. Good times had by all but we'll be happy to have the day off tomorrow after having played 3 games in just under 18 hours including a scorcher under the sun at noon today.
Good quality footy both days with a 2-2 draw last night (Tyler with both goals) and a 3-2 loss today (Chima with both). Outstanding job by Fede as well. Everyone worked their socks off and we competed well.
Fun times and the beginning of an annual tradition! Wishing the Lakers the best of luck in their OUA season.
