A race day memory from Jay Heins on one of the final 100km editions of the Preston Street Crit in 2007:

“this is me at, i think, one of the last of the 100km long events. 2007. it was a race of attrition with 35° weather and 100% humidity. people dropping out like crazy with heatstroke. i drank 10 bottles of water and was still dehydrated at the end!”
