Christmas tree patch had a pristine growing season with all that rain and it looks wonderful this time of year.
🌲
Did you know…we leave the grasses and legumes to grow all summer long, together with the trees they provide the perfect natural habitat for birds, small mammals, and many other critters.
🌲
Nothing is ever sprayed, providing a natural environment for Mother Nature to thrive with a place for all these creatures to call home.
🌲
Row cleanup begins soon, just in time for everyone to come find the perfect tree for their home this Christmas 🎅

Katydid crawling about!
🐞
These cool little creatures a finishing up laying eggs for the year which will hatch in the spring. The egg is the only part of a Katydid’s life cycle that survives through winter.
🐛
There are more than 8,000 types of katydis found on every continent except Antarctica.
🐜
Katydids range from just 5mm to over 130mm in size, with smaller ones typically living in more stressful environments.
🪲
We love seeing and hearing these cute little creatures throughout the trails!

Hiding in plain sight!
🐸
This little tree frog would easily be missed, blending perfectly into its background like nature’s tiniest camouflage expert.
With grippy toes, this little amphibious creature can be found clinging to various objects along its path.
And the coolest part…it can alter its colour to blend in! Nature really said: disguise mode activated!
🐸
Can you spot him in the last pic?

Ruffneck K-9 Fun Run was a huge success - rain and all!
🐾
A little wet weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of our runners and their four-legged teammates.
🦮
Thanks to everyone who came out, embraced the mud, and made it such a fun and memorable day.
🐾
We love hosting this event and can’t wait to see you at the next run!
