Ottawa Valley Step Dancing

🎉 We’re proud to share that Dawn Dewar and the Kitchen Party Steppers will be returning to perform at Almonte Celtfest this weekend. 🎉

Dawn Dewar is a local dance teacher based in Ottawa. She has offered Ottawa Valley Step Dancing lessons for the past 15 years. For her Celtfest set, she will share the stage with some of her students that make up the Kitchen Party Steppers, accompanied by a band of friends on fiddle, piano, and guitar.

Growing up, Dawn’s house was full of music. Her parents often welcomed friends and since most of them were musicians, it always turned into a party featuring music from the Ottawa Valley, Glengarry and the East Coast, lots of traditional fiddle music all of which is a natural fit for step dancing.
