Coming up this Wednesday is the “Building a Better Budget” workshop event which will include panel conversations with some of the region's brightest minds. Joining us in conversation will be Nate Wallace and Farnaz Farhang.
Nate Wallace leads Environmental Defence’s work on decarbonizing the transportation sector. He is a member of Transport Canada’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Council and a frequent contributor to the annually published Alternative Federal Budget coordinated by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives.
Farnaz Farhang is a researcher at Vivic Research, where she takes a critical approach that focuses on identifying the underlying structures that perpetuate social injustice and harm. She believes that research is most effective when the communities impacted by its outcomes are able to guide and participate in the process.
We’re delighted that they can join us in conversation along with Horizon Ottawa’s Sam Hersh and Neil Saravanamuttoo from CitySHAPES.
