🏊‍♂️ While at Walter Baker for an unrelated meeting, I got to check out the ongoing annual maintenance and structural repair works at the swimming pool. Following a leak last year, a temporary foundation and support repair was made, so the permanent repair is being implemented right now. Staff also adjusted the inspection regime to prevent a repeat of what happened. Annual pool maintenance is also being completed during the closure. The pool is on track to a 28 June reopening, as scheduled. Also, I've never been inside an empty pool before!

Competition is optional, but a great way to grow 🏊‍♂️

Many swimmers choose to race in age-group events, focusing on personal progress. From local meets to championships and triathlons, it’s a fun, rewarding challenge especially for first-timers.
