While the parents are putting in the work on the floor, the next generation is busy mastering the whiteboard. We love seeing the creativity our Bytown kids bring into the gym!

The Definition of Consistency.

They say “showing up” is half the battle, but Antonio has redefined what that means. For years, we’ve watched him walk through the doors of CrossFit Bytown with zero excuses. Whether it’s his regular WOD or his staggering 2-year streak of rowing 5k every single day, Antonio is the blueprint for dedication.

We’ve seen him transform his strength, his conditioning, and his mindset. But for the “bigger guys” in the gym, gymnastics are often the final boss. Dips and chin-ups fell one by one, but the pull-up remained the elusive goal.

Until today.

Not only did he get his first pull-up, he banged out two back-to-back with perfect range of motion and effortless control. No fluke—just the result of a plan followed to the letter.

Antonio, your progress is a massive inspiration. As a coach, sharing this video gives me the same pride as showing off photos of my own kids.
If you think a goal is out of reach, look at Antonio. Put in the work. Trust the process. The results will follow.

Rest in peace to a true pioneer, a mentor, and a friend, Rob Orlando.
I still remember the early days of watching videos on the old CrossFit.com. To me, Rob was the first “strong” CrossFit athlete—the guy who proved that grit and raw power had a place in the sport. He was a massive inspiration to me long before I ever met him.
When I reached out to ask how he integrated Strongman into training, he didn’t just give me a quick answer; he invited me down to his gym. I spent time learning directly from the source, and that experience changed everything. When he eventually launched the CrossFit Strongman course, I had the honor of helping him run those courses across Canada.
Rob’s influence on my training and my business philosophy cannot be overstated. He taught me about more than just moving heavy stones; he taught me how to lead.
Rob passed away on April 6th after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a great man who touched so many lives in this community. He will be deeply missed, but his impact lives on in everyone he coached.
Legends are never forgotten. 🕊️💪
