🏒 “Won’t the gym make them tired for games?”
It’s the question we get most from parents — and it’s a fair one. Here’s the honest answer.
It isn’t training that leaves kids flat on game day. It’s training that ignores their schedule. Same lift, same intensity, every week, no matter what’s coming. Ours is built the other way round: the game schedule comes first, and every session is placed around it.
Strength 2–3 days out. Activation the day before. A primer on game day. Recovery the day after. Every session has a job.
📊 And we don’t wait to be told they’re tired. VALD force plates, timing gates and grip testing, plus Vitruve bar speed — weekly and biweekly. If their sprint time is slower than usual, we see it that day and the session changes. Pull sets, drop intensity, switch to half strength and half recovery. Not a cookie-cutter program.
Your athlete shows up to games fresher, not flatter.
That’s the whole point.

🏒 5 reasons your athlete should keep training through the season
1: Maintain and increase performance. Everything built over the summer is either held or handed back over the next eight months.
2: Don’t give it back. Train through the season and they start next summer ahead. Stop, and next off-season is spent climbing back to where they already were.
3: Stay on the ice. Strong, balanced athletes get hurt less — through travel, fatigue, school and a heavy game load.
4: Hold power and speed. We test weekly and biweekly on force plates, VALD and Vitruve. If a number slips, we adjust before it shows up in a game.
5: The room they train in. Culture pushes them on the days motivation doesn’t — and that’s a mental edge on game day and at tryouts.

🚨 REGISTRATION IS OPEN — 2026–27 In-Season Hockey 🏒
The off-season built it. The season is where you keep it — or lose it.
📅 September 8 to May 1. Unlimited training, five days a week, and every session written around your game schedule, not the other way around.
Strength and conditioning 2–3+ days out. Speed 2–3+ days out. Stability and core two days before and the day after. Activation the day before. Primer work on game day. Recovery and flush the day after. That’s how the pros structure a season. That’s how we structure yours.
📊 Baseline, midpoint and end-of-season testing, plus weekly and biweekly check-ins to track progress and monitor fatigue in real time — force plates, VALD and Vitruve.
Pick the plan that fits: unlimited (Mon–Fri), 3×, 2× or 1× per week.
⚠️ Now is not the time to stop. Staying strong and balanced protects your performance and helps prevent injury — and it’s how you show up ready for tryouts in April. Two or three weeks beforehand won’t move the needle.

Big thank you to the wolves and Assistant Coach Rick Dorval for setting this up, after playing back to back nights and an overtime with overnight travel, we set the team up with a low intensity dynamic circuit and finished with some light activation work as they take on the 67s tomorrow, all the best to these guys down the stretch.
