Happy Juneteenth from the UA General Officers!
A few weeks ago, UA Canada once again had the pleasure of supporting Skills Canada / Compétences Canada and the Skills Canada National Competition. We engaged youth through our Try-a-Trade activities, met with government leaders and officials, and cheered on UA competitors from across the country—some of whom went on to compete last week at the UA National Apprentice Competition.

This week, the UA (District 6) National Apprentice Competition was proudly hosted by UA Local 254 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Top apprentices from Eastern, Central, and Western Canada showcased their skills in Plumbing, Steamfitting/Pipefitting, Sprinkler Fitting, Welding, and RACM as they competed for national honours and the opportunity to represent Canada on the international stage.
Congratulations to all competitors, returning champions, judges, and the officers and staff of Local 254 for making this year’s competition a tremendous success.
We are proud to announce the national champions who will go on to represent their Locals—and Canada—at the UA International Apprentice Competition in Ann Arbor, Michigan this August as follows:
