Here we go!! Introducing our 2026-2027 Teaching apprentices!! These students, ages 12-18, are an integral part of our junior dance program, with a number of them training to become teachers themselves :). So grateful for these kids ❤️

Big congratulations to Kayla Macpherson who has been accepted to the World Performers Canada tap team!!! Kayla recently had her first rehearsal with the team, and she will be performing at the Dance World Cup in Lisbon, Portugal next summer!!! Woohoo!!

We are so very proud of our 2026 BATD Scholarship nominees!! These wonderful 25 dancers, ages 10-17, make up our list of 39 nominations for the upcoming British Association of Teacher's of Dancing event. These young dancers have been invited based on exceptional performances in their spring examinations in tap, stage, jazz, modern, and/or ballet. Well done dancers- we look forward to watching you shine in Toronto this coming November!

A big congratulations to Cumbrae dancer Angela Li who danced beautifully this past weekend in Blackpool, UK at the TDCI Scholarship Awards 2026!
After winning the BATD North American Trixie Hardy Junior Ballet Scholarships in October 2025, Angela was invited to represent the BATD at the 2026 TDCI Scholarship Awards alongside other winners from numerous other dance associations.
Thank you to The British Association of Teachers of Dancing, British Association of Teacher's of Dancing Toronto Region, & The Theatre Dance Council International for providing these wonderful opportunities for young dancers. Also a huge congrats to all of the wonderful dancers at this event!

We are SO looking forward to having RAD dual examiner & Solo Seal examiner Cynthia Fisher join us at our summer intensive next month!

Cynthia was trained in Toronto by Gladys Forester, attended the prestigious Banff Centre School of Fine Arts, and The Royal Academy of Dancing.
She was the owner and Director of The Conservatory of Dance and Music for 22 years, and was also a faculty member of Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in Toronto for 20 years. In 2012 she was appointed interim Head of The Teacher Training Program at Canada’s National Ballet School, and continues to teach in the program.
A much sought-after guest teacher and choreographer, she has taught in Brazil, Ecuador, Japan, the United States, Scotland, New Zealand, and throughout Canada. She has also examined on six continents throughout the world. Cynthia has prepared students for all levels up to Solo Seal, as well as preparing dancers for the RAD Phyllis Bedells Bursary competition & the Genee International Ballet Competition.

A big congrats to Allivea Jeffrey who has been invited to stay at Quinte Ballet School’s full time program! Allivea is now on her way to The Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Summer Intensive, and then will return home for the Cumbrae intensive….. Busy dancer!!!!
