As kids get older, they need a different kind of challenge. Step four in our is Youth Camp (ages 11–14).
This week is all about getting teens out on the beautiful Ottawa River, building solid paddling skills, and trying out different boats. We balance the active, physical side of exploring the river with the independence they want to just hang out, connect, and build friendships with kids their own age. It’s a straightforward, screen-free environment where they can learn, work together, and have a great time on the water.

For the kids who want to pick up the pace, step three in our is Canoe Kids Sprint (ages 8–11).
This camp takes all the fun and teamwork of our regular Canoe Kids program and kicks it into a higher gear. We spend dedicated time out on the River introducing campers to sleek, fast sprint boats. It’s the perfect outlet for kids with a ton of energy who want an active challenge, the thrill of learning how to make a boat really move, and the chance to build great friendships along the way.

Once they’ve got the basics down, it’s time to level up. Step two in our is Canoe Kids (ages 8–11).
This is where things start to move a bit faster. We spend the week out on the beautiful Ottawa River, getting kids comfortable in different types of boats and teaching them how to paddle together as a crew. It’s a huge confidence builder—combining real teamwork, physical activity, and a lot of fun on the water with new friends.

It all kicks off with Junior Canoe Kids (ages 6–8). We get them straight out onto the beautiful Ottawa River to focus on the essentials of water safety and fundamental paddling skills. But it’s not just about learning how to steer a boat—it’s about splashing around, building fast friendships, and having a blast together on the water.
