What an incredible day! 🥋🏆

A huge thank you to everyone who made our very first ARCAN In-House Tournament such a success!

For many of our students, this was their very first tournament experience. Our goal was to recreate the excitement and professionalism of a large-scale competition while maintaining the welcoming and supportive atmosphere of our own dojang.

From pre-planned divisions and draws, a published competition schedule, custom-designed medals, electronic scoring, and an official event photographer, we wanted our students to experience what tournament competition is all about.

With 56 competitors and 20 dedicated Black Belts the event ran smoothly and showcased what can be accomplished when an amazing community comes together.

Thank you to our competitors for your courage and sportsmanship, to our families for your encouragement and support, to Mr. Hassen for capturing the day, and to our incredible Black Belts whose professionalism and dedication made this event possible.

We can't wait to do it again! 👊

Like many students stepping onto the mats for the first time, she was probably feeling a mix of excitement, nerves, and anticipation. Fast forward a few years, and she is now one of our ARCAN Black Belts and Assistant Instructors helping inspire and support the next generation of students.

Every Black Belt was once a beginner. Every confident competitor once entered their first tournament.

That's exactly what our ARCAN In-House Colour Belt Tournament is all about; giving students the opportunity to challenge themselves, gain experience, and grow through competition in a fun and supportive environment.

Big goals for a Mini Champ! 🥋✨

​There is something so powerful about teaching kids the value of a growth mindset early on. Whether it’s earning that next belt or mastering a new kick, martial arts teaches them that "I can’t do it" really means "I can’t do it yet."

​Setting goals from a young age builds the discipline to show up and the confidence to know they belong on the mat. Watching that growth is the best part!
