Spring is finally upon us! Today might be the first official day of spring, but Mother Nature is not holding back on the snowflakes. ❄️ 🌨️ ⛄️
This light snowfall combined with what fell yesterday have brought just enough snow for us to pull the trigger and dispatch our teams.

Operators are rolling out for 2:00 pm and shoveling teams for 4:00pm.

We received a nice little surprise snowfall overnight, bringing enough snow to trigger our services. Our staff are making their way in and we’ll have this snow all cleared up for you throughout the day. 🌧️ 🌨️ 🌬️ ❄️ 🚜💨

Hang on to your toques when you head out - it’s quite windy! Wind 36 km/h and gusts of 59 km/h at the moment.

We have operators out this morning to perform some final cleanups from yesterday’s snow event. ❄️ 🚜💨

If you had vehicles in the driveway and wish to move them so that we can perform a proper clearing - please reach out to the office this morning or submit an online service request. We’ll gladly come back and touch things up before noon.

With tomorrow’s high of +13 degrees Celsius combined with 25-35 mm’s of rain - anything left on driveways will all be melted. 😁

The end of winter weather is just around the corner!!

It’s looking like Mother Nature isn’t quite done with winter weather yet! 🌨️ ❄️

Current forecasts are calling for approximately 7 to 10 cm’s of snow overnight and into late tomorrow morning / early afternoon.

Our tractor operators will be starting early tomorrow / Saturday morning. Shovelling crews will start to clear walkways late morning once the snow starts tapering off.

There’s a strong possibility that the city graders will also be dispatching tomorrow. We have not yet received confirmation or timing. Once we have more information on their plan, we will provide additional updates.

Operators are currently working on their first pass and will be returning to clear the windrows once the graders have been by. We have received confirmation that the city will deploy the graders to residential neighborhoods for a 7:00 AM start time. 🌨️ ❄️ 🚜💨

Shovelors are set to start between 5:30 and 6:00 AM.

The city did not issue a parking ban for today.
