Deciding to take a break from teaching this summer has been exactly what I needed. Teachers need to take care of our selves as well. It has given me time to explore new movement for myself, especially after a humbling injury which is now fully healed.
Hope you are enjoying this beautiful summer. Keep moving. See you again in September.

This really hit home. It took me years after the initial 200 hr yoga training, and years of additional training, to start to feel comfortable in teaching. It is a life long journey of learning.

Yin Yoga can create a true change in the body by holding poses and allowing the connective tissues and muscles to slowly relax into the pose. This is a practice of stillness and listening to your body, settling the mind and nervous system. It can be intense but you are in control. Sign up required.

Throughout these crazy last few years so many people have talked about suffering at some point from not sleeping well, waking up too early and not being able to stop their brains. Sound familiar? Well I definitely have the same problem. I often wake up way too early and can't get back to sleep. Below is a guy I have taken courses with and have followed for years, Lucas Rockwood. He is so knowledgeable and just speaks clearly and knows his stuff. Some simple fixes that can be practiced easily with no equipment required. Hope you will check it out and try it. Let me know how you do. I too will be continuing to do these. Sometimes we need a reminder.

5 years ago I opened the door to my little yoga studio. My heart has been filled so many times by the incredible people I have taught and met along the way. Happy to be able to call many students friends now. Wow I have to pinch myself. A humble thank you to all who have trusted me. I have learned so much. Looking forward to the next 5! 🙏✌️
