🇨🇦 Congratulations to WAVE athletes Brooklyn Plomp and Yasmine Sowka, who are currently representing Canada at the Senior Women’s National Team training camp in Athens, Greece! 🇬🇷
From July 1–12, Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team is training alongside elite Greek clubs and other international national teams as part of its preparation for future international competitions and the journey toward LA 2028.
A special congratulations goes to Yasmine, who, at just 16 years old, is the youngest athlete on Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team training camp roster. We couldn’t be prouder to see one of our own high school athletes earning opportunities at the highest level of the sport. It’s a testament to the work she has put in over the years and the incredible environment created by her coaches, teammates, and support network at WAVE.
Brooklyn continues to be an outstanding role model for the next generation of WAVE athletes. Through her leadership, professionalism, and commitment to excellence, she has helped inspire many of our younger female athletes—including Yasmine—as they pursue their own national team dreams. Seeing both athletes training together with Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team is a proud moment for our entire club and a wonderful reflection of the pathway we continue to build at WAVE.
Brooklyn and Yasmine, we know you’ll make the most of this incredible experience. Continue to learn, compete, and represent Canada and our club with pride.
Good luck, ladies! 💙❤️🤍

This year also marked a special milestone as we celebrated our largest graduating class yet, saying goodbye to 15 athletes from our 2008 generation. We’re incredibly proud of everything they’ve accomplished in a WAVE cap and can’t wait to see what’s next for each of them.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year so special. What a season it’s been for WAVE! 🌊💙🏆
